Acer brings its candy-colored Aspire One netbooks to the US

Sometime in April, when everybody else are busy preparing their Android tablets, Acer broke its silence by announcing not its Acer Iconia Tablet but a new set of Aspire One netbooks. Some of you may have raised your eyebrows (including myself) thinking what came into the minds of the Acer folks to brag about an upcoming product who as we all know by then are about to become extinct. But then, Acer did not mind the signs of the time and in fact just introduced the Acer Aspire One Happy 2 netbooks.

And yes, those new Aspire One netbooks are indeed wearing their candy-colored bezels. Acer is even proud to announce the names of these candy-colored netbooks. So take a pick from either the “Banana Cream,” “Blueberry Shake,” “Papaya Milk,” and “Strawberry Yogurt.” If those nicknames don’t sound yummy, well perhaps the specs of these new netbooks would.  These specs and features include – dual-core Atom N570 processor, 10.1-inch display, 250GB HDD, Wi-Fi, 1GB of RAM, and the usual stuff that you will normally find in a netbook of this caliber.

As for the price, well that’s possibly the only good news about these netbooks. The Acer Aspire One Happy 2 will be available for $269.99. What? You’re interested to get one, well you can grab one now from leading electronics stores the U.S.
