Sensata Technologies (NYSE: ST) announced Wednesday it has reached an agreement to acquire Sensor-NITE Group Companies from Elex Group for €225 million – approximately $325 million.
Based in Tessenderlo, Belgium, Sensor-NITE makes high-temperature sensors used in the exhaust after-treatment systems of diesel and gasoline engines. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter, subject to regulatory review.
Last March, Sensata, which is owned by a Dutch holding company but has its U.S. headquarters in Attleboro, launched a $700-million-plus IPO.
